The Great Depression

1937 was the time of the great depression and the Lodi Gun Club was not spared from the bank closures. This letter is the settlement of the clubs account, 0.0072 cents on the dollar.

If we had $200 in the account we would have received $1.41! With only 18 club members, there most likely zero funds returned

It may be the beginning of the depression but the NRA sent out a new copy of the Small Bore Rifle Handbook.

This book has it all from equipment, shooting positions, scoring, and even how to build a back stop.

1937, This is the oldest aerial photo of the range, outlined in green. You can see that there are not many trees and a lot of the range is covered in sand. The club was used for shooting competition but they did not own the land at this time.
