- 1959 -

In 1959, Winnequah Gun Club members whent to Camp Parry for National competition.

Team members, left to right,  are Ted Zieman, Ron Hinz, Don Reynolds, Ray Sturm, George Bjornstad, and John Olson

What does the Flag Stand for?

The flag that they had was created to make fun of other units that had flags of their own. It does not show up in the picture the but the staff was topped with a toilet plunger, unlike other teams that used an eagle.

To summarize, it means "We're a bunch of bastards from Wisconsin that can't shoot"

Today the flag and toilet plunger are displayed in the display case at the Indoor Range and Education Center.
